Amazon.com Product Description
Dynamic, sporty styling and reliable precision make the Aquaracer WAB1120.BA0802 the perfect watch for all of your water sport adventures. This dual-tone watch offers a crisp marine blue dial with sophisticated gold-tone accents, a full-color TAG Heuer logo, and an automatic date calendar at the three o'clock position. The dial has a clean, uncluttered look, with highly polished luminous hands and hour markers for optimal radiance and readability. Framing the dial is a matching unidirectional rotating bezel with engraved dive time markers, for safe timing of dives and other limited events. The watch is set in a brushed stainless steel case and presents on a handsome and durable brushed steel link bracelet with gold-plated center links. The bracelet fastens with a fold over clasp with safety and features an extension system that allows it to be worn over a diving suit. Other notable features of this watch include a highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a screw-down crown and caseback for water resistance.

5 out of 5 stars Simple, reliable, nice-looking watch   August 22, 2009

Bought this watch four months ago from amazon for 770$. The price is higher now, but I'd say that it's worth up to 1000$. It looks better than the picture on this site suggests. In the picture, the dial is a light pastel blue, but in reality the dial is a much darker(and much more attractive) shade of blue. The contrast of the gold and blue, which originally attracted me to the watch, remains a lot of fun to look at. However, the bright coloring makes the watch tough to pull off with formal dress and possibly "flashy" in the eyes of some. It's appropriate in 90% of situations but not a do-it-all watch(not that I expected it to be one).

I've taken it diving down to 100 feet with no problems. The dial is sapphire and has withstood some hard bumps without a scratch. The gold-plated part of the bracelet has a few scuffs, but I expected this because gold is very soft. In any case, it's not very noticeable and adds some character to the watch.

Functionally, it's very easy to change the date and time. It's also easy to read the dial. This is thanks to the simple but well-engineered design.

Overall, there are more expensive makes of watch out there, but if you're not looking for attention, this is a reliable and fun watch that will serve you well in most contexts(save for something like a black tie dinner) for decades.

The colours of the dial and bracelet are what attracted me to this watch, and it looks every bit as impressive on my wrist as it does in the picture. I wanted something that would stand out, and the Aquaracer meets that requirement. It doesn't look too large on my wrist. So far it's been great and I am glad I decided to buy it.

5 out of 5 stars Great watch- keep an eye on the price   January 22, 2007

I picked up this watch in late August of 2006 for about 800 bucks. It was thru amazon but came from Jomashop. I see now they have another retailer on their site for nearly 100 bucks more...check out jamashop in NY. I live in WI and received the watch perfectly, new, in excellent condition and on time. There is no reason it should have gone up in price since then. This is still a decent price, but seems kind of a joke to me now that I have one. Great watch though, lots of comments and compliments.
