Amazon.com Product Description The ultimate dive watch, TAG Heuer's Aqua Racer provides the high-performance features you need with rugged handsome styling. It features a flat black dial with three-hand function, a date window at 3 o'clock, and luminescent markers on the hands, indexes and bezel scale. Special luminescent material has been added to the tip of the bright yellow second hand for added visibility. The dial is set in a brushed steel case and framed by a unidirectional rotating bezel with an aluminum ring for timing dives and other limited events. Large-sized Arabic numerals on the ring make the dive scale easy to read. The screw-in case back is engraved with an image of a diver's helmet, and the screw-in crown is fitted with a double seal. Water resistant to 300 meters, this watch is perfect for diving. Other notable features include precise Swiss quartz movement and a highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The watch presents on a triple-link bracelet of brushed steel that fastens with a fold-over-clasp-with-safety.

Great Watch December 13, 2005 Brian Leblanc (Boston, MA) 25 out of 26 found this review helpful
I just bought this watch a couple of weeks ago and so far I have no regrets. My previous watch was a Fossil, so this is a major upgrade. I was a little bit unsure about paying $650 for a watch since I could lose it or break it. However, I am definitely enjoying my new TAG. I thought that when you consider that it will probably last 10 or 20 years (possibly even more), $30-$60 a year to own a TAG isn't that much money.
Two helpful notes that I wish I had known right when I received this watch:
1. If you want to turn the dial on the top that serves as a timer for diving, it is much easier if you push down rather than turn from the sides. It's more of a push and turn than squeeze the sides and try to turn.
2. The crown has to unscrew before it can pop out. When you want to adjust the time/date on a lot of other watches, you just pull the crown out to different positions. This watch requires you to unscrew the crown from a tight position to make adjustments. You should make sure you screw it back in properly before submerging it, the watch IS NOT WATER RESISTANT if the crown is not fully tightened.
I guess this is in the instructions but it took me a couple minutes to figure it out. You don't want to damage the watch by trying to pull the crown out while it is screwed in.

Outstanding Watch, is Amazon an authorized retailer????? November 29, 2006 D. Denis (San Leandro, CA United States) 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
I've had my Tag for almost two years now and it's been great. It is accurate to within a couple seconds a month, and showering and the occasional swim have been no problem whatsoever. Although this particular model isn't too flashy, it still has a very classic good look. One caution though about buying it here on Amazon; Tag Heuer used to make a big deal about only selling their watches at dealerships and not online. According to their website, online retailers may be selling knock-offs or seconds, and they say watches that are not sold at authorized dealers are not covered by their factory warranty. So before you buy, you may want to contact Amazon directly and determine if they are an authorized retailer and also if the factory warranty will still apply. I recently bought a Timex Ironman on Amazon (the watch was defective, but Amazon was fantastic on that purchase and promptly sent me a perfect replacement even before getting back the defective one), and I really didn't care whether or not they were an authorized dealer; but with an expensive watch like a Tag, you might want to do a little research first before you make your purchase.
Awesome watch especially if you are a diver..best price around July 9, 2008 Christian T. Novay (chicago) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This watch was delivered as advertised. Can't beat the price anywhere. For those of you worried about the warranty not being honored by the manufacturer, don't worry, it won't be. But the you get the same warranty seemingly covering the same types of defects from the retailer. Bottom line, anything goes wrong after two years, your paying no matter where you bought it, so you might as well save big bucks on the front end.

I've had this watch for about 6 months now (bought it for $700) and I'm very satisfied with it. True Amazon isnt an authorized dealer but they do offer their own warranty which is just as good... beautiful watch and a real head turner.
A Life time purchase June 24, 2009 John F. Carden (New York City) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought myself one of these twenty-one years ago as something I would have forever. And I will unless I do something very careless like leave it in a gym locker again. It's a classic, extremely well made. It keeps perfect time. The bracelet will go after a few years if you wear it when you're doing yard work or car repair. If you're careful, even the bracelet will last. CAUTION: mine was billed as a diver's watch. It is important to have the seal checked by a good watch dealer when you change the battery. Also there is a seal around the stem which can wear out with age. These are not defects just normal maintenance. You do not want to come out of the pool and see droplets inside your crystal. PS: I paid 375 dollars for mine. Enjoy it.
