Amazon.com Product Description Blending classic timepiece design with refined European style, this Omega Constellation men's automatic watch is comfortably at home in both the boardroom as well as the baccarat table. The large, round silver case measures 38mm wide (1.50 inches) and it's topped by a commanding silver bezel with tonal engraved Roman numerals and wide claw accents at 3 and 9 o'clock. It frames a golden dial with polished silver stick hour markers, dagger-style hands (with seconds hand), and a date window at 3 o'clock. Other features include a 48-hour power reserve, scratch-resistant and glare-proofed domed sapphire crystal, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet)--offering protection from accidental splashes as well suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and light recreational diving. It's powered by Omega's break-through Co-Axial escapement. Developed in conjunction with master watchmaker George Daniels, it's based on double co-axial escape wheel, a lever with three pallet stones and impulse stone on the balance roller, together with a free sprung-balance. The Co-Axial escapement system reduces sliding friction compared with the lever escapement and thus ensures greater accuracy over time. This watch also features the Omega 2500 caliber automatic movement, which has been certified as a chronometer by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Control). Only 3 percent of watches produced in Switzerland are "chronometer-certified." To achieve this highly coveted certification, the movements are subjected to numerous tests over a period of 15 consecutive days and nights, in five positions and at three different temperatures.

| Customer Reviews: High quality watch with lowest price!! January 29, 2009 Omega man 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is my second Omega watch the first being a 1968 Constellation. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Constellation Double eagle was available. My '68 Constellation is in perfect running order and has been a joy to own. It was passed down to me by my family. When I saw the affordable price from Amazon for the 2500 Co-Axial movement, I could not pass it up. This watch keeps perfect time just like the '68 and looks so much better in person than the picture. The champagne face is actually a classic gold color..very tasteful. This, along with the 1968 Constellation will be passed along for generations to come.

I am rather opinionated when it comes to luxury watches. This comes from spending 2 years in watchmaking school, studying directly under the guidance of a certified master swiss watchmaker who came here from Europe. Watches, especially mid to high grade swiss watches, are a passion of mine. I am not loyal to a brand or a style or anything else. I judge them for what they are, in terms of quality, function, construction, and style. A watchmakers point of view.
This said I will tell you that this particular watch is what I consider to be a "best kept secret" sort of watch. This is an AUTOMATIC watch (read: Mechanical - NOT Quartz), and of CHRONOMETER grade function. Chronometer as used here is a measure of accurate timekeeping, not quality - a point often misunderstood - and is used mostly from a marketing point of view by companies such as Rolex. HOWEVER. This movement in THIS watch is actually EXCELLENT in terms of quality, time keeping ability, and construction - easily comparable to other Swiss made movements from other famous manufacturers costing several times as much. This watch, properly serviced, will provide a lifetime of use - and probably more. Absolutely the sort of watch you pass down to the next generation.
All in all - and EXCELLENT choice - especially for those seeking their first QUALITY Swiss watch purchase.
Definitely recommended!
